May 25

11:53 a.m. A rider of a moped hit a moving vehicle in Albert Township. The driver of the moped was transported to the hospital for injuries. MCSO deputies, and Albert Township Fire and EMS responded to the scene.

12:02 p.m. A caretaker of a residence in Vienna Township called to request an officer to the residence as there was a window open. A deputy responded to the scene and walked through the residence; nothing seemed to be disturbed.

12:36 Dispatch received multiple 911 calls from a residence in Albert Township; deputies responded to the residence. The owner of the phone was mowing the grass and had pocket dialed 911.

1:24 p.m. A female subject called to report she and her husband are staying at a hotel in Briley Township; her husband wasn’t at the hotel, and the female didn’t know where he was. MCSO deputies went to the subject residence and found the male to be there.

2:54 p.m. Two male subjects were doing some work on a residence in Briley Township; and were unable to get along with each other. Two deputies responded to the residence and spoke with both parties.

3:26 p.m. Boaters on West Twin Lake called 911 referencing a male subject who had fallen off a jet ski and had an injury. MCSO deputies, Albert Township Fire and EMS, and a DNR officer all responded to the DNR boat launch. The subject was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

4:37 p.m. A welfare check was requested on some animals in Loud Township. An officer responded to the residence.

7:43 p.m. Oscoda County Deputies made contact with a male that had a confirmed and valid warrant out of MCSO. A deputy met the Oscoda deputy at the county line and transported the male to be lodged at ACJ.

9:35 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Hillman Township. A deputy responded to the scene and took a report; M&D Towing assisted with the removal of the vehicle.

May 26

3:51 p.m. Lewiston EMS/Fire Department and a deputy responded to a 4-wheeler accident on Cobb Rd. No one was injured and all units cleared at 4:26 p.m..

5:57 p.m. An officer and Lewiston EMS responded to an IPhone automated vehicle crash response on Aarons Rd. Responders were able to find an IPhone in the roadway. The phone was returned to the owner.

6:19 p.m. Tri Twp Fire Dept and DNR FIre responded to a small grass fire in the ditch on M-33. All units cleared at 6:49 p.m..

May 27

1:27 p.m. A vehicle in the ditch is reported in Hillman Township. Deputies reported and a report was made.

4:32 p.m. A dispute is reported in Briley Township. Deputies responded and sorted out the issue.

May 28

12:49 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Briley Township. A deputy responded and the subject was okay.

3:00 p.m. A welfare check is requested in Vienna Township. A deputy responded and the subject was okay.

3:37 p.m. Lewiston Fire Department and officers responded to an illegal burn on Montmorency St. during a no burn day per the DNR Burn Map. The subject was issued a citation.

7:07 p.m. A drive-off is reported in Briley Township. A deputy spoke with both parties, and they came to an agreement.

7:25 p.m. A dispute is reported in Briley Township. Deputies responded and the parties separated for the night.

11:53 p.m. A deputy arrested a driver for OUID during a traffic stop in Briley Township.

May 29

9:26 a.m. An officer transported an inmate from Alpena County Jail to the Montmorency County Courthouse; for his court appearance.

12:19 p.m. Multiple 911 calls came into the dispatch center reporting a vehicle on fire in Avery Township. MCSO deputies and Tri Township Fire responded to the scene. Traffic was detoured around the fire for a short time. No injuries were reported.

May 30

1:24 a.m. An officer responded to a residence on Big Buck Rd for a person peeking in the window. The subject was gone by the time the officer arrived and was unable to locate the individual after checking the area.

7:48 p.m. Dispatched received a complaint of a large white dog running loose on River Rd. An officer responded and spoke with the owner.

9:22 p.m. Officers responded to a complaint of a male subject that had kicked in a door and damaged some property on Culver Rd. The subject left in a white F-350 and was located on Jerome St. The vehicle was towed due to no security. All units cleared at 10:51 p.m..

May 31

8:19 a.m. A welfare check on a Briley Township resident resulted in him being transported to the hospital.

4:14 p.m. While on routine patrol an officer observed two vehicles which appeared to be having an altercation. The officer attempted a traffic stop, and the suspect vehicle fled the scene. The officers followed the subject to his residence where he was arrested for fleeing and eluding and was transported to Alpena Jail.

10:18 p.m. Officers were requested for an intoxicated male arguing and throwing things in a residence on Riverview Park Rd. Officers spoke with the male subject and calmed him down.
