ALPENA – On July 25 July 26, people can catch “Old Boats and New Adventures,” an episode of Great Lakes Now from Detroit PBS.

On the next episode of Great Lakes Now, you will sail Lake Huron in a work boat designed centuries ago, bring a historic passenger ship back to its former glory, and hear news from around the Lakes.

The Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center is open:

– Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

– Saturday 8am to 5pm

– Sunday 8am to 5pm

The last weekend of every month is a “Great Lakes Now weekend” where we show the latest episode from Great Lakes Now, a product of Detroit PBS.

This is a free event open to all. The episode will play in the theater all weekend while the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center is open. The center is always free of admission and offers 10,000 square feet of exhibit space to explore!
