The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch on Monday for Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening in Alpena, Cheboygan, Emmet, Montmorency, and Presque Isle Counties.

Heavy-mixed precipitation is possible during the storm watch period with two and five inches of snow and sleet — up to one-tenth of an inch of ice accumulations are possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.

People should plan for slippery road conditions as hazardous conditions could impact Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
