Jon Studley

ALPENA – The Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) informed the Alpena Public Schools that the Jack Johnson Distinguished Service Award will be given to Jon Studley, former APS district athletic director and current director of ACES Academy.

This annual award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to interscholastic athletics in the State of Michigan.

The Jack Johnson Distinguished Service Award is one of the four highest honors bestowed by the MIAAA, recognizing those whose commitment goes above and beyond to support and enhance the experience of student-athletes, coaches, and athletic programs across the state.

“Receving the Jack Johnson Distinguished Service Award is a testament to the decades of hard work and commitment Jon Studley has put into Michigan high school athletics,” said David Rabbideau, Superintendent of Alpena Public Schools. “Jon’s dedication to the principles of integrity, sportsmanship, and student development embodies the spirit of this award.”

Jon Studley will be formally recognized at the MIAAA Annual Conference awards banquet on March 14.

The MIAAA is the professional organization for athletic administrators in Michigan, dedicated to promoting, supporting, and developing the profession of athletic administration in interscholastic athletics. The association provides leadership and resources to its members to help them manage successful athletic programs and serve their communities and student-athletes.
