DDA announces two informational meetings next month
ALPENA – The Alpena Downtown Development Authority (DDA) announced two informational meetings being held in December, pursuant to Public Act 57 of 2018.
The meetings will be held to inform the public of the goals and direction of the authority, including projects to be undertaken next year. There will be no action or discussion by the DDA Board of Directors.
Members of the public are invited to attend either in person at city hall in Alpena or virtually via phone or video with the information below, which will also be posted on Downtown Alpena’s website, www.downtownalpenami.com.
The first meeting is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 2 pm. The second meeting is on Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
Due to reporting requirements effective Jan. 1 the DDA will be required to hold two semi-annual informational meetings each year.
At these meetings, the authority will not be voting on policy, budgets, or any other operational matters. The purpose of these meetings is to inform the public of upcoming goals and projects.
