Sept. 29

7:37 a.m. A deer vehicle was reported in Albert Township; a deputy was advised and a report was taken.

8:42 a.m. A single vehicle crash was reported in Hillman Township. The driver reported he swerved to miss some turkeys. MCSO deputy, Hillman Fire and EMS all responded to the scene, and the driver was transported to the hospital.

2:40 p.m. A deer that had apparently been hit was still alive and needed to be dispatched in Albert Township; an MSP Trooper was in the area and responded to the scene to dispatch the deer.

6:18 p.m. Deputies responded to a residential neighborhood in Hillman Township after a disorderly male was reported. The caller stated the male shot out the windows and was acting strange compared to his usual behavior. Deputies searched the neighborhood, spoke with witnesses, and attempted to make contact with the male but were unsuccessful. There were no damaged windows found on the residence.

6:56 p.m. A resident was walking in Albert Township earlier in the day when a dog jumped a fence, then jumped onto the resident. The reporting party spoke with a deputy on duty.

Sept. 30

2:42 a.m. Residents in Albert Township called 911 to report an unwanted male that entered their residence. They were able to identify the male as somebody they knew and gave a clothing description as he left the residence on foot. Deputies searched through town and possible residences but were unable to locate him.

Oct. 1

2:34 p.m. Deputies responded to a complaint that someone was staying on private property without permission in Briley Township; the deputies had the subject removed.

10:19 p.m. A deputy and MSP trooper responded to a civil dispute in Hillman Township; both parties were separated for the night.

10:22 p.m. A deputy responded to a Briley Township business to do a property check, the deputy found all doors and the business to be secure.

Oct. 2

5:41 p.m. A gas leak was reported in Montmorency Township, Canada Creek FD stayed on scene until PIE&G arrived on scene and contained the leak.

7:53 p.m. Deputies responded to reports of a vehicle that drove off the road in Briley Township; after speaking with the driver, the deputies conducted sobrieties and put the driver in custody and lodged them at Alpena County Jail for OWI.

11:01 p.m. A vehicle deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

Oct. 3

7:16 a.m. A resident of Albert Township called to report her neighbor’s dog barking, contact was made with the owner and they put the dog inside.

10:39 a.m. An ATV crash was reported by a passerby. A deputy responded to the scene. Contact was made with the driver of the ATV and he was assessed by Hillman EMS and was not transported for injuries.

2:16 p.m. A report of subjects drinking in the parking lot of a business in Lewiston was made. Deputies responded to the business but were unable to locate the vehicle described.

2:24 p.m. A family dispute was reported in Albert Township; deputies responded to the scene to speak with all parties involved. Deputies cleared without incident.

4:53 p.m. A report of a subject in the Village of Hillman that had a warrant out of an adjoining jurisdiction was made. Deputies responded to the residence, the subject was taken into custody and transported to Alpena County Jail to be lodged.

7:30 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Avery Township; a report was taken.

11:24 p.m. A vehicle/deer accident was reported in Rust Township; a report was taken.

Oct. 4

1:15 p.m. A deputy assisted a Hillman resident with a civil stand by so he could get his belongings.

6:34 p.m. A Hillman resident came across a deceased eagle. The resident brought it to MCSO, in which the eagle was turned over to the DNR.

9:00 p.m. A male came to the MCSO lobby, requesting a subject be trespassed from his property after a dispute. A deputy was able to make contact with the subject who was then issued a trespass warning.

10:16 p.m. An erratic driver complaint was transferred to dispatch from GARD. Deputies were advised, later finding the vehicle and conducting a traffic stop.

11:34 p.m. ADT Security reported a residential alarm in Briley Township. Deputies responded to the residence, searching the outbuildings, primary residence, and surroundings. The property was found to be secure.

Oct. 5

7:20 a.m. A deer vehicle crash was reported in Briley Township; a report was taken.

10:21 a.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in Vienna Township. A deputy responded to the scene to take the report; no injuries were reported.

11:10 a.m. A verbal dispute was reported in Vienna Township; a deputy responded to the residence to speak with all parties involved.

12:58 p.m. A resident of the apartments in Atlanta called to report the smell of gas coming from the laundry room. Tri Township Fire responded to the scene to investigate.

1:36 p.m. A two vehicle crash was reported in Vienna Township; two vehicles side swiped each other when one of the vehicles drove into oncoming traffic. No injuries were reported. Deputies responded to the scene to take the report.

2:04 p.m. A report of a fire smoldering off Sorenson Rd was made. Due to the high risk for fire on Sunday the Hillman Fire Department was sent out to make sure the fire was out.

2:08 p.m. A forest fire was reported in Albert Township off Heimler Rd. The Albert Township Fire Department along with Atlanta DNR fire crew all responded to the scene. All units cleared the scene at 4:45 p.m..

4:33 p.m. A brush fire that got out of control on Hall Rd. in Avery Township was reported. Tri Township Fire, Atlanta DNR and an MCSO deputy all responded to the scene.

8:07 p.m. Deputies responded to a residence in Hillman Township after reports of a domestic dispute. The parties were separated for the night.
