Northeast Michigan schools receive grant funding for early literacy materials

The Michigan Department Education announced the 561 school districts in Michigan that will benefit from $87 million in grant funding for early literacy materials, including several districts in Northeast Michigan.

The goal of the funding is to improve student literacy across the state.

Alpena Public Schools will receive $346,362 for UFLI Foundations, 1st Edition.

Onaway Area Community School District will receive $2,522 for NWEA: Science of Reading

Literacy Suite.

Posen Consolidated School District No. 9 will receive $48,699 for UFLI Foundations, 1st Edition.

Rogers City Area Schools will receive $68,644 for UFLI Foundations, 1st Edition.

Atlanta Community Schools will receive $51,993 for UFLI Foundations, 1st Edition.

Hillman Community Schools will receive $68,466 for UFLI Foundations, 1st Edition.
