Haske gets new defense counsel; Hall to be scheduled for jury trial

ALPENA — Dustin Haske, 34, charged with six counts of criminal sexual conduct first degree and two counts of criminal sexual conduct third degree, appeared in the 26th Circuit Court Monday for a status conference. His defense counsel, Attorney Patrick Fragel, withdrew from the case. Haske’s new defense counsel is Attorney Nicole Blank Becker, a lawyer based in Troy, that specializes in sexual assault cases. Becker is also known for being the defense litigator of R&B singer Robert Sylvester Kelly. Haske’s next appearance in court will be on Sept. 15.
Brandon Hall, 33, charged with multiple stalking charges, malicious use of telecommunication services, and using a computer to communicate with another to commit a crime, as well as charges for home invasion, assault or assault and battery, and possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, was seen for a status conference. Hall will be scheduled for a three-day jury trial. His next court appearance is on Sept. 15.
Craig Kirkendoll, 39, charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, was sentenced to one year and six months probation, plus court fines and costs.
