Alcona County library announces events

HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library, 312 W Main St, will host local author Nathaniel Borenstein on June 17 at 5:30 p.m.
Borenstein is an American computer scientist, author, and one of the original designers of the MIME protocol, which helped make email attachments possible. He will discuss his book, The Spirit of a Cyborg, which explores the future of artificial intelligence and technology. The event is free and open to the public. Library Totem Project Meeting
The next planning meeting for the Library Totem Project will be held on June 12 at 2 p.m. at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library.
Anyone interested in creating a book-themed clay piece or sponsoring a participant is welcome to attend. Community members may also sponsor a crafter for $150 per entry.
