Presque Isle library promotes Kanopy

ROGERS CITY — Presque Isle District library patrons can watch films for free, ad-free, and on-demand via streaming.

Kanopy offers over 30,000 films, including documentaries, Indie, World Cinema, and educational content. It provides access to curated collections like The Criterion Collection and The Great Courses, with apps available for mobile, TV, and desktop.

One of the benefits of Kanopy is that it is completely free. Users pay nothing to stream, as all of the costs are covered by the library.

Ad-Free Experience: No interruptions during viewing.

Curated Content: Access to a vast, high-quality collection of documentaries, classic, foreign, and award-winning independent films.

Kanopy Kids: Features a dedicated, educational, and family-friendly section with unlimited streaming.

Educational/Academic Resources: Features The Great Courses and documentaries for learning.

Convenience: Available on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, and Roku.

How it works:

Users sign up with a library card, and typically receive a set number of “tickets” or credits per month to watch movies, while Kids’ content is unlimited.

Stop by one of the five library branches to learn more and get started viewing films.
