Northeast Michigan Family Resource Center welcomes new director
Desirée Lipski
The Northeast Michigan Family Resource Center is proud to announce Desirée A. Lipski as its new executive director.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, early childhood, and family services, Desirée brings a deep commitment to strengthening families and communities across Northeast Michigan. Her work is guided by the Strengthening Families, Adverse Childhood Experiences , and Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences frameworks–all focused on building resilience through positive relationships and protective factors.
A lifelong Northeast Michigan resident, Desirée has led multi-county initiatives that improved child and family outcomes, expanded access to quality early childhood programs, and built strong partnerships among agencies and community leaders.
“As a mother, wife, and advocate, I believe that when families are supported with understanding, compassion, and practical tools, our communities become stronger, healthier, and more hopeful,” says Lipski.
The Northeast Michigan Family Resource Center looks forward to the leadership and passion Desirée brings to advancing its mission of empowering families and fostering the well-being of every child in our region.
