Courtesy Photos Zane & Claire Kipfmiller, owners of Zen Fitness, recently held a two-month fitness challenge fundraiser for Friends Together — a local non-profit cancer support center located in Alpena. On July 19, this family owned business presented Friends Together with a donation of $1,525. Zen Fitness is the only 24-hour gym in Alpena offering an affordable membership that fits with its members’ schedules. Zen believes in health and wellness and wanted to help raise money for cancer patients in our area. Members could do their own fitness challenges and collect donations. A portion of all “new memberships” and a personal donation from the Kipfmillers were donated to this great cause.
