Married 55 years, Bill and Joann Marquardt celebrated their Sept. 11 anniversary at Hack-Ma-Tack in Cheboygan. In 1964, they met at a Knights of Columbus dance. A Valentine’s Day engagement and a Sept. 11, 1965 wedding followed. They have two children, Denise (Kevin) Zondlak of Milford and Gregory (Diane) Marquardt of Ann Arbor. They are proud grandparents of six grandchildren they call their “Six Pack.” Mackenzie, Allyse, Brendan, and Harper Zondlack, and Andrew and Joshua Marquardt. Plans for a trip and a family celebration have been postponed.
