David and Suzanne Ness

David and Suzanne (Towles) Ness were married 45 years ago on Dec. 21, 1973, at Ripley Blvd. Baptist Church of Alpena. Officiating the ceremony was Rev. Walter Hoffman. Attending the bride were the bride’s sister, Saundra Bolton, and Teresa (Ness) Duncan as the junior bridesmaid. Jerry Blue was the groomsmen. The small ceremony attended by close family and friends was followed by a simple reception of punch and cake.

The couple’s children are Teresa (Bruce) Duncan of Alpena, Jennifer (Eric) Grochowski of Alpena, Stephanie (Jay) Walterreit of Alpena.

Their grandchildren are Cameron (Sarah) Duncan, Emily (Anthony) Rossi, Riley, Kenyson, and Kestyn Grochowski, and Ruby and Davin Walterreit. The couple plans on celebrating with a special anniversary dinner at the Courtyard with family.

David and Suzanne are retired Alpena Public Schools teachers.
