Alfred and Anna Mae Boboltz celebrated their eagerly awaited 70th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2017. For nearly a year, Anna Mae bragged about this upcoming anniversary.

The couple exchanged their vows at Leer Lutheran Church on May 31, 1947. They were treated to lunch, flowers and well wishes by their sons and their spouses.

Alfred and Anna Mae have two sons, Randy (Jamie) and Jim (Laurie). They also have five grandchildren, Ashley (Kevin) Wing, Amanda Boboltz, Alisa (Jesse) Fairbanks, Taylour Boboltz and Wyatt (Chelsea) Boboltz, and two great-grandsons, Brady and Alexander Wing.

Alfred retired from Besser Company. Anna Mae, a registered nurse who graduated from the University of Michigan, retired from Pierce Nursing Home after also having worked at Alpena General Hospital in obstetrics and as an office nurse for Dr. Edward Hier. They are now residing at the Davison Care Home in Alpena.
