Eugene and Winnifred Chrzan of 7468 W. Long Lake Rd., Alpena, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 12 with a blessing of their marriage at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. A celebration with family and friends will be held today at the Chrzan’s residence.

The couple were married June 12, 1954, in Onaway. They have four children: Susan Hamilton of Ossineke; Genia (Ken) Carter of Republic; Walter (Debbie) Chrzan of Julin, N.C.; and Cindy (Gary) Page of Alpena. A son, Eugene Chrzan, Jr., is deceased.

Eugene and Winnifred have 10 grandchildren: Steve Nickowski, Stacey Smith, Rayne Strange, Tom Carter, Brook Chrzan, Precious Chrzan, Patience Chrzan, Diane Williams, Josh Page and Jesse Page. They also have 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Eugene retired from the Cement Plant after 30 years. Windy has touched many at their special occasions with cake decorating.
