Vernell and Audrie Rensberry of 3616 King Settlement Rd., Alpena, celebrated their 68th anniversary on Oct. 27, 2013 with a luncheon at CW’s Barbecue.

Vernell and the former Audrie Cochrane were married Oct. 27, 1945 at Wilson Methodist Church. They have four children: Judy (Gil) LaCross of Alpena, Rev. Duane (Linda) Rensberry of Sturgis, David (Sharon) Rensberry of Alpena and Jill Odem of Rockford.

The couple have nine grandchildren: Curtiss, Bradley and Aaron LaCross; Matthew and Marcus Rensberry; Dana Forman; Douglas Rensberry; and Jenna and Colton Odem. Their great-grandchildren include Kyra, Travis, Ben and Nick, Eerro, Austin and Victoria LaCross, Caleb, Ella, James and Carolina Rensberry. They also have one great-great granddaughter, Aryanna LaCross.

Vernell retired from Abitibi after 29 years and Audrie retired from the CRTC National Guard Base after 23 years.
