Kurt and Tina Gerke of Hubbard Lake celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Oct. 14, 2013. They were married Oct. 14, 1978 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Herron.

The couple have four children: Kris (Leona) Gerke of Hubbard Lake, Kristen (Dan) Liske of Boulder, Wy., Kari (Josh) Bustillos of Raeford, N. C., and Kim (Dan) Prevo of Herron. The couple also have 11 grandchildren: Kaleb, Seva, Gemma and Malia of Hubbard Lake; Hannah, Hailey, Emma and Eva of Boulder Wy.; Rush and Lexi of Raeford, N. C.; and Evan of Herron.

Kurt is a retired dairy farmer and Tina works at Alpena Regional Medical Center in social work as a discharge planner.
