Alcona County Library hosts upcoming community events
Sound bath with Theresa Wilt
Theresa Wilt will lead a sound bath at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Harrisville branch of the Alcona County Library. This session aims to promote calm, clarity, and mindfulness. Event organizers ask that attendees arrive promptly as doors will close once the session begins.
The event is free to attend and donations for Wilt are welcome but not required. It is suggested that attendees wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, cushion, or lawn chair.
Wilt’s sound bath is open to people 15 years old and older. Please call 989-724-6796 to RSVP.
Pokémon Club
Alcona County Library is launching a Pokémon Club at 5 p.m. on Feb. 3 at the Harrisville branch.
The program is part of a national initiative with the Association for Library Service to Children and the American Association of School Librarians, in partnership with The Pokémon Company International.
This program aims to help young players build skills through the Pokémon Trading Card Game, including strategic thinking, math, reading comprehension, and creativity.
Participation is recommended for children eight years old and older, though all are welcome. Call 989-724-6796 for more information.
