ALPENA — Community members celebrated the holidays this weekend at the Water Street Commons for the inaugural Christmas at the Commons event.

Eventgoers had the chance to purchase Glühwein, a spiced mulled wine. There was also a clydesdale meet and greet event. Messy Meadows provided entertainment in the evening.

Fire pits were available for warmth and local shops were open for weekend, holiday shopping.

Truck Your Pizza food truck was parked in the parking lot, making pizzas for purchase.

Water Street Commons also provided festive tractor rides during the event, and on Sunday, as well.
