ALPENA — On Sunday, the Besser Male Chorus closed out their 78th season of singing.

Trinity Episcopal Church Rector, Father Matthew Roney, addressed those in attendance before the concert began. He thanked attendees for participating and noted that Sunday’s performance was only his second time performing with the male chorus for an event. His first performance was on Wednesday.

Roney concluded his address with a prayer, thanking God for giving humans “your love of beauty.”

“Thank you for all those who create things of beauty, including who create music,” Roney said.

MaryAnn Hubbard was the director of the concert. Suelyn Bartz played keyboard, Judith Case played flute, and Jeremy Smith played percussion.
