ALPENA — Zonta Club of Alpena Tri/County recently held their yearly Coach purse raffle over the summer with the drawing taking place on Aug. 12 at the club’s general meeting. First prize, a Coach crossbody bag, was won by Renee Curry. Second prize, a Pit Boss grill, was won by Matt Poli.

Funds from this fundraiser stay within the community. In past years, the club has been able to donate period products to Alpena schools, funding to the local Girl Scouts for their camp, handbags to the Michigan State Police “Purses for a Purpose” drive, as well as donations to Friends Together, Hope Shores Alliance, the Sunset Project, and more recently, SkellaFit Powerlifting Team, for their trip to compete for Team USA at the WPC World Championships in South Africa.
