The annual Kirkin’ O’ the Tartan, followed by a Scottish High Tea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church of Alpena. This heritage service will feature a bagpiper, and a discussion of how history guides our lives into the future.

There will also be a blessing on the world’s tartans. The High Tea will include trifles, scones, finger sandwiches, and other delectables in Fellowship Hall.

There is no cost to partake. Attendees are encouraged to bring or wear something that celebrates their own heritage. The church is located at the corner of U.S.-23 North and Long Rapids Road.
