MARSP meeting Oct. 9

MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel) will hold their October meeting at noon on Thursday, Oct. 9 at the First United Methodist Church on the corner of Ripley Boulevard and 1st Avenue.

All school personnel are welcome to attend MARSP meetings. A catered luncheon will be available at a cost of $12.50 or you may bring your own lunch. Reservations need to be made to Ruth LeBarre at 989-506-8876 no later than Monday, Oct 6. Either text or call her. You pay at the door.

The Oct. 9 guest speaker will be Mary Centala who will be sharing her talents with the fibers she uses. Invite a former school retiree to join in learning the latest updates concerning pensions and any insurance questions you might have.

Alpena County Library offering computer classes

Registration for the fall session of computer and technology classes at the Alpena County Library is open. IT Specialist Nancy Mousseau will help participants refine their tech skills or explore new tools. Classes are available for all skill levels.

All classes begin at 1 p.m. at the library, 211 N. 1st Ave., Alpena.

— Design with Canva: Wednesday, Oct. 22
