The 21st Annual Garden Walk sponsored by the Sunrise Gardening Club of Alcona County will take place on Saturday. Six incredible gardens are grouped in an area from the village of Lincoln and north along the F-41/Barlow Road corridor.
Three gardens are a riot of color with brilliant annuals highlighting perennials along the shore of Brownlee Lake in Lincoln. Another includes a variety of fruit trees, woodland paths, and raised vegetable plots. An impressive use of boulders to define the many perennial beds is a feature of one garden. One location includes a garden for each of the hosts’ six grandchildren, plus paths through the woods named for each. Refreshments are available at one of the gardens.
Tickets are available now through noon on Saturday at the Craftmakers’ Cabin in Harrisville at the corner of US-23 and M-72 and at the Alcona County Library in Harrisville.
Tickets are $10 each, and children under age 12 can view the gardens for free. This event will be held, rain or shine.
