Mikaela Bannon competing for Miss Michigan

Rogers City native Mikaela Bannon, Miss Wayne County, will be competing for Miss Michigan 2025 on June 12 and 14 in Muskegon.

Bannon is 2020 graduate of Rogers City High School is a 2022 graduate of Northern Michigan University. She now resides in Canton, and works in Birmingham as a licensed esthetician.

Bannon will be competing for the prestigious title alongside 21 other talented candidates from all over the state of Michigan. Phases of competition are an interview with panel of judges, talent, evening wear, fitness, and on stage conversation

Bannon is the proud daughter of William and Milissa Bannon of Rogers City

This is her third trip to Miss Michigan. She competed in 2021 and 2023 previously. She made four trips to Muskegon as an outstanding teen contestant with first runner up as her highest finish. Her platform is Cassidy’s Cause promoting skin, cancer awareness, education, and support. She is currently working at SalonTORO in Birmingham as a manager/sales coordinator and their head esthetician.

As Bannon gets ready to head for Miss Michigan, she said she is filled with gratitude and pride, not only to represent Wayne County and Detroit, but also to represent her hometown of Rogers City as well: “the people who raised me and the people who saw potential and me before I saw it myself,” Bannon said. “Thank you so much, northern Michigan, for always supporting me and having my back!”

For her talent presentation, she will be performing a pointe dance to “Lecycne!”
