HARRISVILLE ­– Harrisville Train Depot presents Discover your Depot and Rockfest from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday at 301 Dock St., Harrisville.

We’re gonna rock! Jordan Luebben, owner of Michigan Gems in Curran, will be on hand for rock identification and rock history, namely how it pertains to the Harrisville Depot, the railroad, and quarries in Northeast Michigan. Teens and adults are invited to try their hand at Petoskey Stone polishing and rock painting will be available for the littles. This event is free, but donations to raise funds for the depot’s restoration are encouraged. This event will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Grab your favorite rock, favorite lawn chair, favorite beverage, then come down and rock with the Harrisville Train Depot.
