Alpena Garden Club held March meeting

ALPENA ­– The Alpena Garden Club met on March 4 at the ACC conference room for the first meeting of the year. President BJ Sander opened the meeting. Dues were collected for the year.

The chairman of each garden made a report of last year’s gardens. Many plans were made for the upcoming year — the garden walk, plant sale, and more.

Every January, a group of members gather at the ACC greenhouse to start all the flowers to beautify our city. Many thanks to the members for all their hard work.

Used book sale Friday at MyMichigan

ALPENA ­– MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena Volunteers will host a used book sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday in the hospital lobby, open to the public.
