VFW Auxiliary creates memorial poppy display

VFW 2496 Auxiliary members crocheted 164 poppies, one each to represent the fallen soldiers memorialized in Alpena’s Little Flanders Field. This tribute will remain on display at the VFW Post at 2900 Connon St., Alpena, through July 4 to remind everyone of the ultimate sacrifice that was made for the freedom we enjoy today. God bless our fallen veterans.
