ALPENA — Mike and Mary Arzo, owners of Alpena’s Arzo Amusement Park and Southfield’s Arzo Electronics, generously gifted Immanuel Lutheran School’s kindergarten class with graduation presents.
Kindergarten teacher Cindy Bell eagerly coordinated with the Arzos on this project. The class was thrilled to receive miniature robots and passes to Arzo Park to use this summer.
The Arzos do this where they live downstate with two other schools every year, and this is the first year that they have chosen a school here in Alpena to begin this annual tradition.
Lauren Larsen and her husband Karl Larsen both met at Arzo Amusement Park when they were employees there in 2009 and have since married and had several children – the oldest of whom attends Immanuel Lutheran School.
“Mike chose this school after asking which school our daughter went to, since we still keep in touch with him over a decade later,” Larsen said. “He is such a generous and considerate man.”
