News Photo by Darby Hinkley Alpena Community College Fine Arts students turned jeans into art for the sake of drawing attention to the subject of sexual assault during Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Wednesday was Denim Day, a day to wear jeans with a purpose, support survivors and educate yourself and others about all forms of sexual violence. The above pair of jeans features hash marks to represent the number of people who had been sexually assaulted in the time it took to create the artwork.
