Alpena Sportsmen’s Club Wild Game Dinner postponed; raffle drawing still this Saturday

The Alpena Sportsmen’s Club Annual Wild Game Dinner that had been scheduled for Saturday is now postponed until 2022.

However, raffle tickets are still available and the raffle drawing will still be held at 9 p.m. Saturday on Facebook Live.

First prize for the raffle drawing is a Limberlost Farms 140 Class Trophy Whitetail Deer Hunt in Atlanta.

Second prize is a GLFA AR Style .350 Legend, made in Michigan.

Third prize is $500 cash.

Music and Merriment postponed

For the safety of the community, the Development Council of the MidMichigan Health Foundation in Alpena has made the decision to postpone its Music and Merriment holiday fundraiser that had been scheduled for Friday. All those who have purchased a ticket will be contacted by phone for a full refund.

The decision was necessary due to the rise of COVID cases in the community, organizers said.

The committee will reconvene in the coming weeks to set a rescheduled date in 2022. Although the Music and Merriment event is postponed, the raffle for the Yamaha side-by-side will take place at 9 p.m. on Friday. Only 350 tickets will be sold at $100 each and a few tickets are still available by contacting Ann Diamond.
