St. Paul Lutheran Christmas Bazaar Nov. 6

St. Paul Lutheran Church of Alpena will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6.

The church is located at 727 S. 2nd Ave. on the corner of Mirre Street.

The bazaar will feature its “Country Store” canned goods and baked goods, boxed cookie sale with fancy cookies packaged by the dozen, “Needlework Nook” with handmade items, a multi-item raffle with many valuable items to bid on, including a $100 gas card, handmade wooden tea cart, quilted Christmas tree skirt, painted window panes and much more.

Volunteers will be on hand to carry all purchases to your vehicle.

Back this year is the “Famous” turkey noodle casserole luncheon, serving continuously from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for adults is $10, and $5 for children 12 and younger. Takeout lunches will be available. For tickets, call 989-356-1658

This year’s bazaar is dedicated to Annie Olsen for her service and contributions to the bazaar for so many years. You are appreciated, Annie!

Plaza Pool quilt raffle tickets available at APlex

The Plaza Pool is currently holding a quilt raffle fundraiser. The quilt is queen size, reversible, machine stitched and multicolored to match any decor.

The quilt is called “Rainbow Rails” and was made by Sherrie Jaqua.

Tickets are $5 each, or 3 for $10, available at the APlex, not at the Plaza Pool.

The drawing date is Nov. 15. The APlex is located at 701 Woodward Ave., Alpena.
