Girl Scouts make stress hearts for cancer patients

Girl Scouts of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Alpena recently donated some homemade stress hearts to the Cancer Center patients. The Scouts leading the creating of the stress hearts were Lucy Duthler, Harper Woolman and Kenna Mousseau. Mentors for the younger Scouts were Samantha Schaap, Madelyn Mills and Cassia Marchiniak. All four troops took part in creating the stress hearts because they want to support the patients that visit the center for their treatments. Every Girl Scout in the troops either has a family member that has battled cancer or knows friends in the community that have cancer. This is one way to let patients know that Girl Scouts care and want to make a difference in other lives.
