SUNRISE SIDE BULLETIN BOARD

LWV voting presentation today

The League of Women Voters of Northeast Michigan invites the public to view four short videos on new voting rights in Michigan, and to join in the national celebration of the 100th birthday of the League of Women Voters of the U.S. Today’s event will be 1 to 3 p.m. upstairs at the Alpena County Library. The series explains the voting process, such as new voter registration and “no-reason” absentee ballots, how to register, cast a ballot, and make informed decisions. Informal discussion will follow each interactive video. The videos present factual nonpartisan information in a fun “how-to” way and are especially designed for younger and new voters. The videos encourage participation in upcoming elections (March, August and November).
