ALPENA — The Exchange Club of Alpena recently donated coloring and activity books with crayons to the Volunteer Services Department at MidMichigan Medical Center-Alpena. The coloring books will be distributed to pediatric patients during their stay or visit to the Medical Center.

“Being in the hospital can be frightening for children,” said Shawn Ballor, president of the Exchange Club of Alpena. “We are proud to donate these books and crayons to the child as a way to distract and entertainment them during their visit. This opportunity fits perfectly into one of the club’s projects, which is to focus on youth in our community.”
