SUNRISE SIDE BULLETIN BOARD

Cookin’ for a Cause today

Cookin’ for a Cause will be offering all Police-Fire-EMT personnel a free meal in the Alpena Mall parking lot from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. The public is invited to come and purchase lunch and thank these people for the service they give.

This event is honoring their service on the anniversary of September 11, when 18 years ago many members of these professions lost their lives trying to save people trapped in the twin towers in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

Cookin’ for a Cause is run by volunteers dedicated to returning proceeds back to the public and supporting first responders in their line of duty. In case of rain, the event will be moved to First United Methodist Church on the corner of 1st Avenue and Ripley Boulevard.
