Golf scramble in Hillman Sunday

Teeing Up for Kids 18-Hole Scramble registration is 8 to 8:45 a.m. Sunday, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. at Thunder Bay Resort in Hillman.

Proceeds will go toward Brush Creek Mill’s children and youth programs.

Friends Together Pig Roast Sunday

Friends Together Pig Roast is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fletcher Street Depot, with takeout available. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 per child.

The dinner includes BBQ pork, baked potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans, breads, beverages and dessert. The event includes live music by Dr. Dave Larkin and Dr. Jim Weeks, games, refreshments, prizes, a corn hole tournament, a 50/50 and a Pig in a Blanket Raffle. The drawing will be at 5 p.m. First prize is a pork bundle donated by Marine Market and Friends Together, and a handmade quilt donated by Have a Hart Quilters. Second prize is a Friends Together Corn Hole Game donated by John Bundy. Tickets are 3 for $5.
