The July meeting of the Alpena Garden Club was held Monday, July 8, at the 19th Hole.

Kay Breckenbridge opened the meeting, and presented a pamphlet from the Rivers Edge facility planned at the Duck Park.

Garden questions were discussed, and the members were invited to visit Dave Melville’s rose garden and Carolyn and Joe Szatkowski’s gardens after the meeting.

B.J. Sander invited the group to attend a seminar on brain health and nutrition at the Alpena Senior Citizens Center at 2 p.m. on July 27, presented by Laurie Mischley.

On the committee for the event were Gayle Bade, Judi Stillion, Lynn Galea, Lois Trudeau, and B.J. Sander.

The August meeting of the Alpena Garden Club will be held on Aug. 5 at the 19th Hole.
