Once again the Besser Male Chorus is set to perform its annual spring concert titled “Harmonic Vibrations” in two performances.

The first concert will be a matinee show at 1 p.m. on Sunday. Then at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, an evening show is planned. Both shows will performed at the First United Methodist Church on the corner of First Avenue and Ripley Blvd in Alpena. Admission will be by free will donation.

The members have been working very hard on this year’s production that includes more selections of new music than what has been previously performed. Selections include sets based on Songs of the Sea, Show Tunes, and Inspirational Melodies. With such a wide variety of themes which include ballads as well as upbeat lighthearted numbers the audience is sure to enjoy the shows. Additionally, there are selections by the Besser Quartet as well as instrumentals.

The Besser Male Chorus has been performing for over 70 years and has sung at many different venues over the years including Detroit Tigers games and political conventions.
