Beverly Lewis

Author Beverly Lewis will visit Olivet Book & Gift in Alpena at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Lewis is touring Michigan Sept. 6 through 13 for her book tour promoting and signing her latest novel, “The First Love,” published by Baker Publishing Group.

Olivet Book & Gift is located at 100 N. Second Ave. (on the corner of Second Avenue and Chisholm Street) downtown.

Lewis has written more than 80 books for children, youth and adults. Much of her content focuses on country life on the Plains.

Her first book was published in 1993.

Lewis has been writing since she was 9 years old. She was born in the Amish country of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

She and her husband, David, live in Colorado, where they enjoy hiking, biking, family time, playing music, and, of course, reading.
