Jennifer Spigelmyre and Jonathan Torz of Alpena announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Ronald and Susan Partyka of Alpena and the late Donald Spigelmyre. The future groom is the son of Richard and Cynthia Torz of LaGrange Ind., and Karen and Fred Hering of Hubbard Lake.

Jennifer is a 1998 graduate of Alpena High School and studied accounting at Alpena Community College. She is currently employed as an advertising consultant with The Alpena News.

Jonathan is a 2000 AHS graduate and received a degree in Graphic Design in 2003 from Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Ind. He is employed as an assistant manager at Arby’s of Alpena.

The couple will exchange their wedding vows Aug. 23, 2014, on top of Mt. Mariah, over looking Hubbard Lake.
