Alicia Peasley and Nathaniel Hartigan of Colorado Springs, Colo., announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Cecilia Peasley and Alan Peasley of Alpena. The future groom is the son of Cheryl and Tim Hartigan of New Richmond, Wis.

Alicia is a 2003 graduate of Alpena High School and is currently a captain in the U.S. Air Force. Nathaniel is a 2006 graduate of New Richmond High School and is employed as a government defense contractor.

The couple will begin their marriage together when they exchange vows on Feb. 1, 2014 in Alpena.
