She is survived by five sons, Frederick (Glenda), Thomas (Lois), Daniel, Ronald (Patti), and Douglas (Pat), 13 grandchildren, and several great- and great-great-grandchildren. Phyllis Mary Tessmer, 73, of Alpena passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. Phyllis Mary Hanner was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Alpena to the late Orvil and Theresa (Kaiser) Hanner. On Aug. 8, 1970, she married Kenneth Tessmer. He preceded her in death on Dec. 13, 2014. Phyllis was a member of All Saints Parish and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and flower gardening.
