DONALD PAUL KIRSCHNER

Donald Paul Kirschner, 92, of Alpena passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at MediLodge of Green View. Donald was born April 3, 1930, in Alpena County to the late Gottlieb and Augusta (Kran) Kirschner. He served in the United States Army 1950-51. On Aug. 23, 1952, he married the love of his life, Betty Pilarski. They were married for 69 wonderful years. She preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 2021. Together they raised two wonderful daughters. Roy Wallace Sommerfeld, 88, of Alpena passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, at his home. Roy was born Sept. 5, 1934, in Alpena to the late Theodore and Alvina (Schalk) Sommerfeld (the eighth of 10 children). On Aug. 23, 1958, he married Darlene Hopp. Roy was employed by Huron Portland Cement for many years and later owned Kitchen Tune-up for a number of years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (having served as Lay Minister, trustee and usher), past president and honorary member of Lost Acres Hunting Club, past member of Jaycees, German American am See Club, and volunteered ...

DENNIS ROY LUDLOW

Dennis Roy Ludlow, age 62, passed away July 2, 2022 unexpectedly in Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Mary Ludlow and two sons. He is survived by his wife Mary Decoster Ludlow, his brothers, Jerry, Dave and Dan; also four children. A private celebration of life will be held by the family.

BUZA, Daniel Casimir, 79, died on Sept. 10, 2022, at the Oliver Woods Assisted Living facility in Owosso, Michigan. He is survived by two sons, Nathan Daniel (Trisha) and Anthony Benjamin (Jacalynn); Dan was “DziaDzia” to six grandchildren: Reese, Roman and Vale (Nathan and Trisha) and Kennedy, Delaney and Colton (Anthony and Jacalynn). RAYMOND J. SHEPHERD

Raymond J. Shepherd, 81, formerly of Hillman passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Raymond was born in Hillman on Aug. 23, 1941, to the late Fred and Alice (James) Shepherd. On July 15, 1961, he married Donna Hubbard. She preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2004. He worked for many years for R.J. Kenyon and Sons. He loved hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
