Rachel J. Kowalsky, 94, of Alpena was called to her heavenly home on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023. Rachel was born Jan. 12, 1929, in Canton, Ohio to the late Herbert and Winifred (Schroeder) Miller. On Aug. 30, 1952, she married her helpmate, Dexter Kowalsky. Rachel was someone who was always eager to help others which led her to her passion as a teacher. Sandra Lynn Krueger, 67, of Alpena, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023. Sandy was born Oct. 19, 1955 in Alpena to the late Robert and Esther (Koss) Meno. On June 2, 1984, she married Dennis Krueger at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Sandy had a big heart, always volunteering her time and talents wherever needed. Suzanne E. Lawson, of Ossineke, passed away in the presence of family on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the age of 86. Suzanne was born on March 23, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to Carl and Elsie (Cowdrey) Riedeman. She was a graduate of Waite High School and the University of Toledo. Marrying Howard R. Robert Dale Rousseau, 88, of Alma formerly from Alpena, passed away on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023. Robert was born on Nov. 19, 1934, to the late Dale and Lorraine (Snider) Rousseau. Peter Thomas Roznowski, 61, passed away on Feb. 6, 2023 at MediLodge of Alpena after an extended illness. Peter was born on Feb. 6, 1962 in Alpena to Kenneth and Leila (Habermehl) Roznowski. He was raised in Alpena and graduated in 1980 from Alpena High School. While attending Alpena High, he played football and hockey. As the Wildcats’ goalie, Peter excelled at shutting out opponents and was the subject of many Alpena News sports articles.
