Hugh (Skip) A. Brown III, age 64 of Alpena, Michigan passed away on July 17, 2022, at Covenant Hospital Saginaw. He was born on July 14, 1958, to Hugh Brown Jr. (preceded in death in 2018) and Juanita Brown. Skip was born on a warm summer day in Detroit, Michigan. Within the year, Skip’s family moved to Hubbard Lake, Michigan where he spent his youth on a farm and eventually became a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). KIRSCHNER, Betty, 91, of Alpena, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Medilodge of Green View. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Donald; daughter, Cindy (Clint) Lee; granddaughters, Stephanie (Dave Edwards) Rings, Missy (Sean Rollf) Gaylord, Lisa (John Miller) Gaylord; grandson, Nick (Alexis Ferguson); nine great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren, Colton Moldenhauer and Holly Thomson. A graveside service will take place Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Evergreen Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Shipman officiating. Arrangements have been made by Bannan Funeral Home.

Clifford Charles Lindgren, 85, of Alpena passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Turning Brook. Clifford was born Nov. 21, 1936, in Red Ridge, Michigan to the late Wilfred and Helen (Heikkinen) Lindgren. He was raised in Toivola, Michigan and graduated from Jeffers High School in Painesdale, Michigan in 1954. Cliff attended U of M Land Survey School in Jackson Hole, Wyoming in summer of 1954 and Michigan Tech University in fall of 1954.
