Roger Dale Frye

FRYE, Roger Dale, 77, of Hillman died on July 27, 2022. Roger is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bonnie, his daughter Lisa (David) Scarniac, sons John (Wendy) and Jeff, son-in-law Michael Hachigian and sibling Rae Tulkgestka. Roger was blessed with grandchildren Ashley (Corwin), Michael (Casey), Jake, Tara (Gary), and four great-grandchildren. Ronald Alan Glomski, 78, of Ossineke, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at his home. Ronald was born on Sept. 6, 1943 to the late Daniel and Angeline (Ardukant) Glomski in Alpena. Shortly after High School, Ronald went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. He then worked for General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement in 2000. Peter Francis Meagher Schaffer, age 51, of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away on July 19, 2022 at home. Born on Nov. 14, 1970, in Oswego, New York to John and Alice Schaffer, Peter was the fifth of eight children. After graduating from high school in Alpena, Michigan, and attending Northern Michigan University he went on to become a master plumber and intrepid entrepreneur. NICHOLAS J. FILIPIAK

Nicholas (Nick) J. Filipiak, 77, of Rogers City, passed away Sunday July 24, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. The son of Victor and Anna (Dost) Filipiak was born Feb. 3, 1945 in Rogers City and attended Rogers City High School through 1963. He was drafted into the United States Army in November 1965 where he served in the 1st Cavalry Division. Nick is a veteran of the Vietnam War, he earned two Purple Hearts, and the Bronze Star medal for Heroism. Nick married Carolyn (Schlak) on Oct. 21, 1972.
