Oliver “Junior” DeRocher, 89, of Alpena, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed. Junior was born on July 10, 1933 to the late Oliver and Roseanne (LaFave) DeRocher in Black River, Michigan. He was a graduate of the first class of Catholic Central High School in Alpena. Dennis is survived by his two children, Lisa Benscoter and Christopher (Jane); four grandchildren, Noah, Seth, Nicholas, and Tessa; three brothers, Carl, Dale (Beverly) and Royce; two sisters, Ellen (Marv) Hopp and Joyce Schwiesow; and sisters-in-law, June Grulke and Jackie Grulke.
