SANBORN, Ernest G., 88, of Lincoln, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 at his home. Ernie is survived by his wife Joann, three sons, Glenn (Lisa), Roy (Denise), and Walter (Vicki) Sanborn, five stepchildren, Ronald Frasher, Brenda Busch, Kathy Inman, Cindy Lawrence, and Roger (Joan) Frasher, 54 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren, and 43 great-great-grandchildren, and his brother, Jim Middleton. Ernest is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will take place from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022. The Rev. Tim Steiner will officiate. ...

VENTIMIGLIA, Joseph, 62, of Hillman, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at home. Surviving are his wife, Lynn, four children, Nichole Green, Joey Ventimiglia, Christina Laduke, and Jenny (Lee) Seltvedt, eight grandchildren, six siblings, Frank (Pam) Ventimiglia, Debbie Arms, Denise Zerelli, Grace McCullum, Anthony Ventimiglia, and Marlene Plutschuk, and many nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements have been made by the Bannan Funeral Home.

Mary Lou Daoust, 84, of Alpena passed away peacefully at Besser Senior Living Center on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022 with her loving family at her side. Mary Lou was born May 7, 1938 in Alpena to the late Merritt and Dorothy (Ellingson) Nowland. On June 7, 1958 Mary Lou married the love of her life, Gary Daoust. Nothing brought her greater joy than being married and raising her family with her best friend. Her and Gary enjoyed traveling both on land and sea. Mary Pat Leonard (Howe),79, passed away on Nov. 30 in Oakland, California, after a long illness. MP was born in Alpena on Oct. 6, 1943 and was a graduate of Alpena Catholic Central High School and Acquinas College. She had retired after working for the State of Michigan at the Alpena MESC office and moved to San Francisco in 2009. MP had lived in Alameda, California since 2012. KENNETH LEO WEILER

Kenneth Leo Weiler, 90, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home Dec. 12, 2022, with his family at his side. Ken was born May 25, 1932, in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Leo and Eva (McPherson) Weiler. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he and Dixie Kirchoff were married in 1980. Ken was also a member of the VFW Post 2496, and the Elf Khurafeh Shriners Alpena-Hopper 199. Ken was an avid golfer, enjoying the links in both Alpena and Florida.
